چکیده
This study examined the short term transfer of carbon-14 (14C) in common carp Cyprinus carpio under laboratory conditions. Various experiments were achieved order to investigate direct or trophic for 4 days, using waterborne 14C-labelled arginine food pellets respectively. Radiolabelled was prepared with glucose test how kinetics might vary biochemical form 14C. Elimination fish fed 5 days on radiolabelled and then placed starvation days. In all experiments, water, activities monitored every day. Different fractions (whole body, muscle) sampled elucidate role muscle as a potential storage. Results suggested that water-to-fish absorption rate 20% d−1 per fish. Carps incorporated 14.3% absorbed Fish activity did not increase over due strong decrease 14C concentration water (resulting from aquarium sorption). During entirely ingested sources rapidly assimilated. For either glucose, results 19–20% incorporated, yielding significant No difference mass-specific observed among whole body. Total represented 29%–32% body activity, this proportion reflecting contribution weight. elimination showed total arginine. The great variability an essential amino-acid like can be used energy source muscles act storage amino-acids.

Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio
The common carp (Cyprinus carpio) belongs to the family Cyprinidae. In nature, carp live in the middle or lower reaches of a river with slow currents, or in marshes. Their habitats are usually weedy areas with a muddy bottom. Carp fry feed on zooplankton such as rotifers and copepods, but as they grow up they become benthic feeders, feeding on animals and other organic material. The cyprinids h...

Distribution ! e common carp [Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus (1758)] has been one of the oldest domesticated species of fi sh for food. Culture of carp in China dates back to at least the 5th century BC, although domestication began much later. ! e European races of carp derived from wild carp of the Danube; the earliest attempts date back to the Roman Empire and spread of Christianity in Europe, fro...
متن کاملRecovery ability of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) after a short-term exposure to terbuthylazine.
Effects of a high terbuthylazine concentration (3.3 mg/1) on Cyprinus carpio were studied using a commercial herbicide formulation Click 500 SC (terbuthylazine 500 g/l). The fish were exposed to the pesticide for 24 h and allowed to recover for 6 days. Biometric parameters, plasma biochemical parameters and biomarkers of oxidative stress as well as histopathological changes in selected tissues ...
متن کاملOptimization of Feeding Rate of Juvenile Common Carp, (cyprinus Carpio L.), during Short Intensive Rearing under Controlled Conditions
The aim of this experiment was to determine the optimum feeding dose for juvenile common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) with the average initial body weight of 0.88g (WB) and the total length of 37.9 mm (TL). The rearing was conducted for 10 days at the temperature of 27°C under controlled conditions. The fish were divided into 6 feeding groups (in triplicate), for which the doses of feed were estab...
متن کاملEvaluation of electronarcosis and clove oil for short-term anesthesia in common carp, Cyprinus carpio L. 1758
Anesthesia is considered to be the best way to ensure animal welfare during handling etc. Clove oil and electronarcosis are among the most popular chemical and physical anesthetics used in fisheries and biology; however there is a little information available on the effect of anesthesia using direct electric current in fish. In the present study, the impacts of clove oil (30 mg.l-1) and electro...
